Job Summary

- Reporting to the Technical Product Manager, Sr Product Engineer role involves_
- responsible for receiving, analyze, clean, and customize all technical _
- information/documentation_
- from the customer related to his product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change in order to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Handle product transfer and new product set up._
- _ Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line._
- _ Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield._
- _ Solve product related problems and perform failure analysis related to product issues._
- _ Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues - engineering changes, new model development._
- _ Work with design team to resolve design related issues._
- _ Suggest modification to work instructions,
material or product changes to ensure superior quality of products._
- _ Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) analysis and structure definition for production_
- _ Functional Product Documentation review_
- _ Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification_
- _ Engineering Drawings Interpretation of individual parts and assemblies._
- _ Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods_
- _ Lead Engineering Changes Implementation_
- _ Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to determine failure root/cause analysis and reporting to customer_
- _ Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort_
- _ Provide product training to the _manufacturing/process_ engineers for better understanding of the product._
- _ Request, handle and administrate golden samples, engineering samples of final product and/or piece parts_
- _ Establish, operate and maintain a standard method for technical information interchange with the customer to control and preserve information of NPI transferred projects_
- _ Analysis of customer product parts and assemblies through model files using Computer-aided Design (CAD) system_
- _ Analyze and determine course of action of Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO)_
- _ Ability to take additional responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer depending on the size and complexity of the customer product_
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ Experience as Product Engineer_
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Experience with personal management_
- _ Fluent English oral and written._
- _ Experience with MRP Systems._
- _ Experience with Floor shop systems._
- _ Experience being the owner of an account under their charge._
- _ Experience leading the process for new product introduction (NPI)._
- _ Experience in ECO´s implementation._
- _ Experience with Baan V (MRP) is also a plus._
- _ Experience with Flex Flow (Floor shop system) is also a plus._
- _ Experience in Product Lifecycle systems (Agile, Arena, Procom) is also a plus._
