We are looking for passionate and talented people who want to build a successful career as: Supervisor Supply Chain Job Summary: Oversee planning and scheduling of plant operations to produce products meeting customer requirements while maximizing plant profitability.
Ensure the safe operation of the plant's material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and help develop plans to increase the speed at which materials flow through the plant, reduce inventory levels; monitor and develop scheduling and inventory control techniques compatible with JIT, Kaizen, and Lean principles; monitor inventory accuracy and implement robust systems for accuracy improvement, monitor, report and eliminate causes for premium and unplanned freight charges, monitor and resolve issues concerning interplant requirements and deliveries, monitor and resolve capacity issues and reduce overtime costs.
Position Specific Responsibilities (PSR): Ensuring the safe operation of the plant's material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines for: Fork Lifts, Tuggers, Docks, dock locks, chocks, doors, plates, Switchers, trucks and trailers, Storage, racking and warehousing.Supervision of the shifts Material handling shift team: Ensuring staffing levels are aligned with budget requirements, managing time and attendance for the Material handling team, ensuring the Material handling equipment is maintained in proper working order.
Coaching, mentoring, and disciplining the team as required.Supporting the plant requirements for the movement of materials, tooling, and supplies required for customer shipments, vendor receipts, or support of the manufacturing processes; applying the safety guidelines of the facility at all times.Reacting to 5s audit results, communicating and ensuring that corrective action assignments are clear and completed on time.Ensuring that the plant material handling staff is properly certified and trained in the operation of the material handling equipment as well as that there is a current training matrix for the team to cross-train.Manage the storage, maintenance,
and cleaning of the plant's returnable container fleet as well as working with the Demand Analyst and Master Scheduler to ensure returnable containers are available to support the production plan.Requirements: 3 – 5 years as Supervisor in Supply Chain in the automotive industry.Engineering bachelor.CTPAT knowledge.Leadership skills.Work Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.
