SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of procedures/processes to ensure manufacturing methods,

processes and operations for new and existing products are running efficiently.
Ensures the effective use of

materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
Acts as liaison with other

departments in releasing new products.




Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

**DESCRIPTION**

Sets and tracks department goals for planning, development and implementation of new and

existing products.

Manages the engineering team to perform data analysis and continuously improve quality.

Ensures effective use of materials, equipment and staff in producing quality products at

minimum cost.

Interface with other departments to resolve engineering/quality issues

related product area in a safe manner.

**EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**_:_**
- Number of years of study and specifically the type of training and experience._

**Education**: B.S.




in Engineering or Applied Sciences, M.S.
preferred.
**Experience**: 10+ years of managerial experience in related product area coupled with strong people management, presentation, PC, and communication skills.
**Basic Training**: Induction

** **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES**: knowledge in lean manufacturing, problem solving (six sigma, shainin, ) core tools, operational excellence.
