You will work with a team of consultants and analysts,
with an emphasis on growing our market-leading specialties in location strategy, site selection, economic development, footprint optimization, and economic incentives advisory capabilities. You will also work with other Newmark Global Strategy leaders to help position the Newmark brand and Consulting practice for continued growth and success in Latin America.
Job Description:
This Analyst level role will work closely with the Global Strategy Team to carry out project support, business development research, mapping, demographic analysis, geo-coding of new datasets and spatial planning concepts.
- Develops moderate to advanced specialized maps, utilizing geographic and demographic information
- Produces demographic reports from existing local, regional and national data
- Develops custom client ready deliverables with respect to many types of analytics, including (but not limited to):
- location and demographic comparisons
- greenfield, brownfield and repurposed sites and buildings
- infrastructure assessment and research, including all forms of utilities
- transportation and logistics studies
- business climates and community profiling
- operating costs and operating conditions
- other special data aggregation and mining efforts
- Conducts primary and secondary research for project support and business development
- Obtains and maintains accurate market data; to include, assess, and validate current GIS data for integrity in terms of volume, consistency and redundancy
- Manages portions of projects through the processing of large quantities of data and information
- Assists in data cleanup as required
- Creates print and web map templates for internal and external deliverables
- Maintains library of previously designed material for future use
- May perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or combination of experience and other outside classes in major GIS applications; Business/Finance/Economics, International Business, Urban & Regional Planning, Geography and other related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Experience with R or Python Scripting or similar.
- Related computer experience in PostgreSQL, SQL, mapping/aerial software, spreadsheets, and graphics/desktop publishing are desirable.
- Familiarity with concepts of economics, demographics, data analytics, and cartography.
- Strong creative thinking, analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Spanish and English language skills required on, at least, C1 level.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, economic development officials,
industry representatives, public officials, coworkers, and the general public.
- Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint packages.
- Ability to set and meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to shift and reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
