**Responsibilities**:- Serve as a partner and advisor providing legal assistance and support to business stakeholders regarding all employment & HR matters, such as employment contracts, claims of discrimination, and employment-related arbitration- Provide critical inputs on compliance with employment laws and regulations; provide counsel to managers regarding compliance with employment laws- Accomplish results by leveraging networks/connections, colleagues, and peers within the organization, including compensation teams, ER teams, internal investigatory teams- Proactively identify, evaluate, and contribute to the appropriate management of legal, regulatory, and reputational risk- Escalate,
managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards- Manage with the team a significant caseload of litigation and liaise with litigation colleagues and country counsel in relation to country based litigation and handle directly complex cases- Manage a team of employees day to day and provide oversight, mentoring and general pastoral support- The role will provide contentious and non-contentious employment advice within Mexico to a wide stakeholder base including the business, compliance, legal, HR, ER and management.
There will be day-to-day responsibility for managing complex and significant matters including cases within the litigation portfolio.- The role will also day to day supervise and mentor a less experienced employment lawyer also based in Mexico.
**Qualifications**:- Approximately 10+ years of specific relevant legal experience with some experience working in an in-house legal role in financial services; previous managerial experience- Excellent leadership, interpersonal,
