Summary: This position is primarily responsible for operating a 130-ton All Terrain Crane on an active construction site.
Position may also include operating a 250-ton - 450-ton Crawler Crane.
Position may also be responsible for operating several other types of power construction equipment including (but not limited to), fork lifts, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement, as well as repairing and maintaining all equipment as appropriate.
This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values Qualifications: Crane Operator must hold current NCCCO Certifications to operate RQ Cranes and be comfortable and confident operating RQ Cranes.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective and safe operations for the protection of people and property.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar to assist in written and verbal communication on a project site.
Demonstrates operation, control, and monitoring skills as it relates to operating equipment or systems to ensure they are working correctly.
Demonstrates active listening skills by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asks questions as appropriate to ensure accuracy of the product created.
Ability to read, listen, and understand information (e.g., plan or construction documentation) and ideas presented orally and in writing and then communicate that information and ideas in a way that others will understand (e.g., in writing or in public speaking).
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions with control and precision.
Ability to exert force required to lift, push, pull, grasp, twist, pound, swing, kneel, sit, stand, hold, lie down, manipulate, assemble part and pieces, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, carrying, bending, etc.
without fatigue.
This will require considerable use of arms and legs and upper torso, including manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and visual acuity.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
Current crane operation certification by a DOD recognized crane certifying agency required.
Three or more years (or equivalent) work experience as a crane operator in the construction industry required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
Experience with Concrete Tilt wall erection preferred.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.)
preferred.
Training can be provided.
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; EM-385 preferred; Training can be provided.
Benefits : Pay: $ 6.50 ph 15 days of paid vacation per year, entitled to be taken after completing 2 year's.
Paid leave after 2 years of service of accrued time up to 30 days paid, and an additional 30 days unpaid between contracts (if desired).
Company paid travel between job location and point-of-hire.
6 sick days per year $13.00/day meal allowance Emergency Medical/Dental/Health Insurance Coverage 48 hours/week 7 paid Holidays Accommodations paid for by RQ Company provided transportation on-island.
