**Job summary**:
The goal of the Junior Associate is to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality consultancy work on sustainability topics to international and regional clients.
Within the team, you will act as a collaborator, providing technical input and supporting the overall implementation of projects.
In addition,



you will engage in the development of proposals on climate change mitigation solutions and will occasionally support the development of new products for the corporate sector.
Areas of involvement include corporate GHG accounting, climate risk, biodiversity, sustainable finance, and/or agricultural value chains.
**Main tasks & responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with tasks in sustainability consulting mandates throughout their entire project cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
Implement projects to ensure the most efficient and highest-quality implementation.
Interact with our international, regional and local clients and collaborate to ensure the timely delivery of mandates.
- Develop proposals for the corporate sector on climate change mitigation solutions in close collaboration with the Key Account Management team and senior consulting professionals to support the company's business development activities.
- Develop and improve specialised skills and knowledge linked to the topics and services offered by South Pole.




- Support senior consulting and Key Account Management teams in further developing South Pole's thought leadership, services, products, marketing materials and offerings within specific areas of expertise.
- The engagement topics will focus on corporate GHG accounting, climate risks and opportunities, sustainable finance, biodiversity, agricultural value chains, and occasionally other topics of interest.
**Requirements**:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree ideally in Sustainable Development Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related studies.
- High mathematical and spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent writing skills, with proven expertise in creating high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).
- Rigorous and autonomous yet collaborative approach to work.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English.




Desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Diligent, reliable, proactive, and self-suficient but collaborative approach to work.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.
- Good prioritisation and time management skills.
- Experience in the use of Geographic Information System (GIS), Biodiversity or Climate Risks and Opportunities is a plus.
- Experience in any of the areas above mentioned.
