As a **Finance Data Steward Associate Manager**, you will be a key player in establishing PepsiCo’s Data Governance program, ensuring the integrity, accountability, and strategic use of our most critical data assets. This role is essential in defining the processes, policies, and standards that will drive data quality, accuracy, and alignment across our global organization.
You will serve as the single point of contact within your data domain, liaising between the global data governance team and local business units.
Your mission is to ensure adherence to the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) standards, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing productivity across PepsiCo’s operations. By collaborating with key stakeholders—including the EDG Lead, Governance Council, and Subject Matter Experts—you will drive alignment and ensure data across the finance domain is fit for purpose. **If you’re passionate about data stewardship and ready to take ownership of PepsiCo's financial data governance, this role is for you.**
**Responsibilities**:
**Your day-to-day with us**:
- ** Support key strategic initiatives** like Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by ensuring accurate and governed Finance data is accessible and used effectively.
- ** Drive the adoption of PepsiCo’s global data standards**, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with governance policies across all business segments.
- ** Act as a trusted advisor on data governance within the Finance domain**, guiding stakeholders on the effective business use of data.
- ** Monitor data-related operational incidents, lead root cause analysis,
and propose improvements to the Data Governance framework**, including refining processes and Data Quality Rules.
- ** Develop and document new or improved data standards, business rules, and policies** in collaboration with the Governance Council and other stakeholders.
- ** Provide insight and guidance on data-related changes and dependencies in various projects**, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) standards.
- ** Represent market-specific needs in data councils**, advocating for local users and offering practical solutions to meet both global and local requirements.
- ** Collaborate with Sector peers, Market Data Stewards, and the EDG team** to ensure consistency in managing critical enterprise, digital, operational, and analytical data.
- ** Ensure all data-centric activities align with EDG program goals**,
leveraging established data standards, governance processes, and best practices.
**Champion Data Governance**:
- Ensure the Finance data governance processes align with enterprise and local support models.
- Advocate for PepsiCo’s enterprise-level data standards and champion their implementation throughout the organization.
- Own and evolve the enterprise data governance roadmap for the Finance domain, aligning with strategic business goals and emerging technologies.
- Advise on data-related changes in various projects, ensuring they align with EDG standards and that dependencies are clearly managed.
**Data Domain Coordination and Collaboration**:
- Identify the need for sector-level data standards and ensure they align with PepsiCo’s enterprise goals and analytical requirements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent execution of data governance principles across PepsiCo’s systems and data domains.
- Promote acceptance of EDG standards, policies, and process definitions for critical enterprise data.
- Act as a champion for PepsiCo’s Enterprise Data Governance Capability and data management initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications:
**What you will need to succeed**:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management within a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, with strong expertise in data ingestion, usage, quality, and stewardship.
- 5+ years of experience working with data in the Finance domain, including financial planning, processes, systems, and data usage; experience with supply chain operations is a plus.
- 5+ years of functional experience with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA in the Finance domain (FICO).
- At least 2 years of experience working specifically with SAP S/4 HANA.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and managing standards for data cataloging processes and tools.
- Good matrix management skills and solid business acumen.
