**Responsibilities**:
**The Opportunity**
The Category Buyer is responsible for executing and implementing the sourcing plan for the Energy category in Mexico. Energy includes: electricity, natural/propane gas, and renewable energy projects
The Buyer will be supported by the COE Latam strategy to act as a change agent and transform the category into a regional strategic function. This includes identifying white space categories and establishing processes and policies to improve the delivery of business objectives.
This role will be able to execute projects to achieve regional productivity and sustainability targets. All subcategories (electricity, natural/propane gas, and renewable energy projects) are classified on Indirects scope as Other Indirects spend.
**Your Impact**
As **Global Proc Ind Sr Supervisor** your responsibilities would consist of:
- Accountable for delivering Mexico’s AOP in alignment with procurement category responsibilities.
- Responsible for spend mapping, local stakeholder management, and local vendor management. Capable of enable a competitive vendor list to drive PepsiCo’s productivity through efficiency, technology, and Inno-solutions in the short to mid-term.
- Accountable for understanding key cost drivers within local industries, staying informed and consulted about trends and best practices, and aiding in the development of long-term pricing mechanisms and potential joint-business assessment.
- Contribute to create a sustainably inflation mitigation mechanism to ensure Net Zero Opex Inflation.
- Support the Procurement Indirects Transformation.
- Lead strengthening governance process (improving visibility on sourcing projects, prioritization, clarity on roles and responsibilities, budgeting, and benefits tracking).
Qualifications:

**Key skills and experience**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Engineering, Energy Engineering or similar
- Functional knowledge: +4 years in category management / sourcing processes on procurement roles.
- Desirable experience in Procurement Directs or Energy management processes, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.
- Desirable SAP, Ariba, Power BI
- Strong analytical and financial skills; solid understanding of general business economics, key cost, and quality drivers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships in cross-functional teams and influence across a matrix organization.
- Ability to translate complex situations into simple messages for executive-level communication.
- Advanced language skills: Spanish and English are essential, both verbal and written.
- Results and action-oriented: Comfortable with change, setting and achieving stretch targets.
