**About the Role**:
DoorDash is looking for an experienced Manager, Corporate Safety and Security to oversee and lead safety and security operations, programs, and initiatives in Mexico.
Based at our Mexico City office, you will work closely with site leadership, Workplace Experience, IT, HR,
and other cross-functional partners to create an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and guests while effectively enforcing physical security policies and standards.
This role will directly contribute to shaping industry-leading safety and security functions, and requires exceptional leadership, unwavering integrity, excellent communication skills, and a strong bias for action.
**You're excited about this opportunity because you will**:
- Be on the front-line working hands-on to protect DoorDash
- Be a standard bearer, manage, and execute safety and security functions
- Work directly with large and diverse groups of employees and guests
- Assist with the production and maintenance of Emergency Response Plans
- Oversee emergency response training and lead site Emergency Response Team
- Lead safety and security awareness training at the site level
- Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Assist with threat assessment, site-specific security risk analysis, and safety audits
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of emergency and incident reporting at the site level
- Work with site leadership, Workplace Services, HR, IT, and other cross-functional partners
- Be responsible for safety and security asset maintenance, repair, and tracking
- Oversee badge issuance, access control, and guest management at the site level
- Coordinate and lead event security operations for on and off-site company events
- Assist with site-specific safety and security vendor and supplier management
- Lead and supervise assigned security personnel and security contractors
- Work with industry-leading security systems and technology
- Help develop, integrate, and oversee culturally attuned safety and security policies, programs, procedures, standards, and processes
**We're excited about you because**:
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- You have 5+ years of experience in a related security management role
- You served in the Mexican Naval Infantry or Mexican Naval Intelligence
- You have security leadership experience at a large multinational company
- You have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate and influence team members and cross-functional partners positively
- You are driven with a strong bias for action and have demonstrated experience setting and achieving aggressive performance objectives
- You are outcome-focused and set time-bound and measurable targets for your teams
- You are resilient and able to adapt to dynamic and high-stress situations quickly
- You take radical ownership of your work and performance and can effectively give and receive performance feedback
- You thrive in fast-paced,
demanding environments where you are often managing multiple priorities and forced to make decisions with limited information
- You have excellent critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to forecast second and third-order effects of actions
- You have exceptional written and oral communication skills, to include the ability to deescalate tense or hostile situations
- You have extensive experience working with access control, video surveillance, and mass notification systems
- You are a G Suite and Slack power user and are comfortable working on macOS, Chrome OS, and Windows-based systems
- You have a valid driver's license, and have advanced medical training; AHA Heartsaver and BLS Certification and Instructor Certifications preferred
- You have the ability to stay on your feet for several hours at a time, walk long distances,
and be exposed to all weather and conditions
- You can work any assigned hours and attend meetings and training outside of regularly scheduled hours
- You can travel as required and are able to work independently and as part of a team
