**Title**: Engineer Product Mechanical Design
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) -Monterrey Nuevo León
**Function**: Engineering (CA)
**Main Responsabilities**:
As a Design Engineer for John Deere's Enterprise Technology and Innovation Center, you will work in a cross functional team supporting John Deere Power Systems, focusing on engine components.
The global team will include JDPS, vehicle partners, and suppliers.
- Lead design activities for the product development cycle, from concept development through virtual and physical build, testing and implementation.
- Proficiently use CAD tools to create 3D models and prints for engine components.
- Define specifications for sourced system components to allow the engine system to meet performance and durability goals
- Collaborate with others to solve design issues to meet our performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost goals.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to manufacturing, quality, production, and supply management teams to ensure product requirements are met.
- Create and maintain BOM structures and lead part workflow through the system.
**What Skills You Need**:
- One or more years of proven experience in Product Design,
product development or product validation.
- Strong mechanical engineering skills (Machine element design, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics)
- Ability to independently solve problems, think critically, and generate conclusions/solutions from technical data
- Understanding of FEA analysis.
- Effective technical communication (verbal and written) and documentation/knowledge management skills
- Experience with CAD package (PTC Creo preferred)
- Fluent in English
- Proactivity and drive for results
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Experience with engine systems
- Experience with FEA /CFD
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for engineering materials.
- Knowledge of core tools
**Education**:
Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering
