Head of Regional IT - Latam
- **Position title: Head of Regional IT LATAM**
**Location: Toluca, Mexico**
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the LATAM management team to align technology with business goals
- Stay informed of industry developments and trends and provide technological guidance
- Define and execute IT objectives in LATAM aligned with global and regional IT objectives
- Implement and manage IT systems in LATAM according to global IT strategy and standards
- Manage the LATAM IT team, recruit and hire highly motivated individuals, and provide training and personal growth opportunities
- Effectively delegate and focus team and resources on business priorities
- Manage and lead the execution of complex IT projects
- Create cost-benefit analyses as well as supporting detailed definition of data requirements and departmental workflows
- Manage the annual LATAM IT budget
- Develop and administer IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain security and infrastructure integrity, ensure IT compliance (e.g.
licensing) and provide risk management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key technology partners and suppliers to ensure that service levels are met
- Establish and direct strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for LATAM IT in alignment with global IT
**Profile**:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; Master's degree preferred
- 8-10 years of experience, with 5 years as a CIO or IT Director (regionally) for multinational companies in manufacturing, chemical, or process industry
- Results-driven technology leader and a sparring partner/consultant for senior level managers
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Experienced in managing multiple locations simultaneously and operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
- Proven track record of defining and implementing information systems to improve business performance in a multi-location, multidisciplinary environment; preferred experience in managing multi-national SAP implementations
- Broad knowledge of distributed service desks, data centers, and shared services
- Knowledge in business administration, including budget preparation and monitoring, negotiating with vendors and contractors, planning and organizing
- Up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software, particularly in end-user computing, data centers, and networks, with familiarity in SAP, Microsoft, Cisco, CheckPoint, Citrix, etc.
- User/customer-centric orientation and ability to translate technical language to any audience
- In-depth knowledge of IT policy frameworks, management structures, and service delivery processes (ITSM)
- Strong bias for diagnosis, delegation, and achieving tangible results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- International Business English (level C1 or C2) required
- Willingness to travel
