About the team The FUB+ Infrastructure & SecurityTeam at Zillow Group supports the Follow Up Boss systems,applications, and software engineering teams that power thebusinesses of tens of thousands of real estate teams and the agentswithin them across the U.S. and Canada. Follow Up Boss is thesupercharged CRM and critical operating system for agents and teamswho are helping guide buyers on their journey to find their home.About the role As a member of the FUB+ Infrastructure &Security; team you will architect, develop and deploy systems,processes and environments that support numerous services developedby engineers within the FUB+ engineering organization.
You willhelp us deliver the most reliable and performant experience for ourcustomers and keep our existing infrastructure stable, while wecontinue to scale in a steady and reliable way. You will shareon-call duties with the rest of the FUB+ Infrastructure &Security; team. We are looking for an individual with a demonstratedtrack record of building secure, large scale, highly availableservices using automation and Infrastructure as Code, who is wellversed in cloud architecture, and loves to delight the engineersthey support. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will: -Take shared ownership and responsibility for the infrastructure,reliability, scalability and performance of our applications andservices. - Interact with the engineers we support and help todrive improvements for developer environments and productivity. -Identify and propose concrete steps to best improve existinginfrastructure. - Assist in determining top infrastructurepriorities. - Assist in ensuring company security practices andpolicies are being adhered to. - Actively measure and monitorsystems and react to anomalies as part of on-call rotation.
-Actively troubleshoot issues with the infrastructure and services.- Press us forward with more automation and tooling to support ourcustomer growth and engineering team effectiveness. - Mentor otherteam members. This role has been categorized as a teleworkerposition. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate officeworkplace and, instead, work from a physical location of theirchoice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may livein any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we wouldencourage attendance for occasional in-office events. In additionto a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is alsoeligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience,performance and location. Who you are - 5+ years of relevant SRE,DevOps, Platform Engineering experience. - Experience with SDLCprinciples, architecture and operations.
- Experience withInfrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and processes(Terraform andAnsible) - Experience with instrumentation for monitoring andlogging the health and availability of services. - Experiencewriting comprehensive documentation. - Passionate about buildingand fostering good engineering practices and processes - Wellversed in Amazon Web Services offerings, such as RDS, EC2, Route53, S3, ElastiCache, and more. - Strong Experience scripting/codingwith Bash, PHP, and/or Python. - Strong knowledge of relationaldatabases (we use Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL) - Strong knowledgeof CI/CD environments - Strong knowledge of UNIX and networking. -Proven track record of being security conscious. - Attention todetail and commitment to quality.
