We are looking for a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead a team of talent recruiting managers and recruiters supporting Latin America growth and hiring for Amazon Advertising, Devices and Services and Amazon Entertainment. Combined, hiring spans 5 countries, support 4 executive organizations, over 15 unique businesses and hires for Software Engineering (SDE), Tech and Non-Tech industry/high volume hiring. This is a diverse portfolio in a rapidly growing region.
Success in this role requires the ability to define strategy, partner with internal clients,
an aptitude for developing insights-driven process improvement, defining customer-centric goals, and a passion for developing and leading people. You will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices for the Advertising Latin America recruiting and hiring program. You will be pivotal in the development of the central sourcing team, helping to establish the operating framework and set strategic direction.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build and inspire a unified, high-performing recruitment team through empathetic leadership and high standards.
2. Create comprehensive hiring strategies that drive successful delivery of growth plans, address both immediate and future business needs, and establish industry-leading recruitment and hiring practices.
3. Partner with key TA stakeholders (HR, compensation, finance, employer brand, DEI, TA operations) to create targeted plans that accelerate delivery, improve productivity and align with TA-wide objectives.
4. Set team performance goals and metrics,
timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress.
5. Champion the needs and priorities of Latin America during cross-organizational planning that elevates regional success.
6. Drive sourcing capability & capacity across a geographically dispersed team to proactively build top talent pools while leveraging all available talent channels to expedite delivery.
7. Develop and manage recruiting reports, dashboards, and metrics. Establish and track metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting team, hiring managers and interviewers.
8. Work closely with business leaders to educate and influence the regional hiring outcomes and strategies.
9. Partner with key stakeholders (business leaders, hiring managers, HR, recruiting peers) to assess current and future-state needs,
reinforcing partnership and leveraging market research and internal data to create opportunity.
10. Develop and execute plans to identify and drive productivity improvements that enable the team to deliver efficiently within plan.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelors Degree
2. 10+ years of recruitment/HR experience in a Corporate in-house or Staffing environment with high volume hiring (100 requisitions open at the same time, at least)
3. 3+ years’ experience managing and coaching a recruiting team of direct or indirect reports
4. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
5. Experience leading hiring strategy across multiple businesses at the enterprise level
6. Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to set and drive strategy, goals, process, and metrics
7. Develop innovative ways to meet constantly expanding and evolving recruiting needs
8. Portuguese proficiency
9.
Skilled at partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of ROI
10. Workforce planning experience
11. Experience scaling a team through tremendous growth periods
12. Experience partnering with global clients and peers
13. Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow between Candidates, Hiring Managers and the Recruiting team
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
15. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
16. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
