Alten Mexico is looking for a DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer (Remote position):
**Key Responsibilities**
Infrastructure and Kubernetes Configuration:
- Deploy and configure Kubernetes clusters, focusing on Rancher, Clusters, Namespaces, Volumes, and Ingress controllers.
- Facilitate the transition to Amazon EKS and manage the decommissioning of existing RKE clusters.
- Implement Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) strategies for improved network isolation and security.
Containerization and Orchestration:
- Oversee Docker utilization and best practices.
- Develop and manage Helm charts for streamlined deployment.
Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Set up container monitoring using tools such as Logz.io and Container Insights.
- Implement performance monitoring using Dynatrace.
- Address performance and connectivity challenges through proactive connectivity knowledge.
CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:
- Establish and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including nine pipelines under the RaaS (Release as a Service) model.
- Implement and manage automation workflows using Github and Github Actions.
**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- English proficiency (B2).
- Proven experience in deploying and configuring Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on key components like Rancher, Clusters, Namespaces, Volumes, and Ingress controllers.
- Successful transition experience to Amazon EKS and decommissioning of existing RKE clusters.
- Implementation of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) strategies for improved network isolation and security.
- Extensive expertise in overseeing Docker utilization and implementing best practices.
- Development and management of Helm charts for streamlined deployment.
- Proficiency in container monitoring tools like Logz.io and Container Insights.
- Implementation of performance monitoring using Dynatrace.
- Proactive problem-solving for performance and connectivity challenges.
- Establishing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, including nine pipelines under the RaaS model.
- Implementation and management of automation workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Mater's in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Connectivity knowledge to help address performance and connectivity challenges.
