**SENIOR CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN**
Performs calibration to basic dimensional equipment,
as well as with pressure measuring instruments, temperature, scales, timers and tachometers with a moderate degree of difficulty.
Fills calibration service reports and enters the obtained information in the system.
The activities of this position require de direct supervision of the Senior Calibration Technician.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Techniques
- Performs calibrations to dimensional equipment using equipment such as optical comparator, vision system and/or pattern blocks.
- Performs calibration to equipment which indicates pressure and temperature with a moderate degree of difficulty and by using the Standards, thermocouples and connectors indicated by the Senior Calibration Technician.
- Calibrates scales, timers and tachometers by using the standards indicated by the Senior Calibration Technician.
Documentation:
- Records the readings obtained in the measuring on the calibration certificates.
- Follows the calibration procedures to perform his/her tasks.
- Enters the information of the calibration certificates in the system (PILGRIM).
- Labels and identifies the equipment in which he/she performs calibration.
- Follows the Good Manufacturing Practices procedures (GMPs).
- Applies the regulations stated by the metrology international standards such as ISO 17025, Guide 25, ANSI and others.
Organization:
- Maintains his/her place of work clean and organized.
- Can provide technical assistance and guidance to lower level technicians.
- Provides support and follows instructions from the Calibration Senior and Principal Technicians.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
**Qualifications** Requirements and Education**:
- Technical studies: Electromechanical Technician or Instrumentalist Technician.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience with measuring equipment such as optical comparator, vision systems, micrometers, verniers, pattern blocks, pressure and temperature standards, speed, time and dead weight, voltage generator, current and frequency.
**Knowledge and Skill Sets**:
- Knowledge of Mechanics and Electricity.
- Basic knowledge of Metrology International Regulations.
- Reading and interpretation of mechanical and electrical blueprints.
