The **Legal Assistant** will perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties to support the daily operations of a **U.S.Based immigration law firm**.
This role is critical in ensuring smooth workflow by handling key tasks such as **formatting legal correspondence, reviewing and proofreading documents, communicating with clients, and managing case updates**.
The Legal Assistant will work closely with the immigration attorney and staff to provide high-quality support.
**Key Responsibilities**:- Prepare, format, and edit immigration-related legal documents and correspondence, ensuring compliance with the firm standards.- Review, proofread, and verify outgoing documents for accuracy, grammar,
and completeness.- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts and U.S. government immigration agencies (e.G., USCIS, DOS, ICE).- Organize and maintain client files, records, and other legal documentation.- Communicate with clients to schedule meetings, relay information, and follow up on inquiries.
**Qualifications**:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, specifically in Law.- At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in an administrative role within a law firm, preferably in immigration law.- Proficient in both written and spoken English.- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.- Must have a personal laptop or desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above) and a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 10Mbps.Pay: $414,817.00 - $456,299.00 per month**Experience**:- legal assistance or law firm: 3 years (required)- immigration law: 3 years (required)
