JOB PURPOSE The role of an Artwork Production Specialist is to seamlessly manage end to end, from the creation of pack design to the development & approval of packaging artwork through to commercially reproducible mechanical artwork, separations which are handed over to the printer, towards digital pack images.
Your responsibilities will include initiating and creating projects using the online artwork management system, while also working in a multifunctional environment to deliver projects on time in full (OTIF).
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE Own the artwork process, roles, and responsibilities to deliver projects on time and in full.Work with GMS Digital Solutions team to identify improvements to the overall artwork process.Lead the Brand and category portfolio by understanding the Brand DNA/Guidelines to effectively plan and prioritize volume.Combine creative flair and print technology knowledge to execute the design intent and elevate brands with high quality packaging that delights the consumer.Drive efficient delivery of high-quality artwork and brand assets and content, which are consistent across multiple physical and digital touchpoints.Present business updates (using data & analytics) to influence leadership meetings as and when required.Collaborate with marketing and design agencies at the design phase, providing expert guidance and technical inputs.Schedule and run pre-production meetings to ensure quality and consistency from artwork to print.Ensure that master design files are created according to prescribed toolbox specifications.Work with marketing to ensure visibility of artwork spend, and that the printed packaging is optimized for cost.Take accountability for delivery of mechanical artwork and separation files to printers.Act as the gatekeeper for project deadlines and timelines.Manage internal/external stakeholder expectations for your project tasks.Ensure that the print management agency follows the approved rate cards and service level agreements (SLAs).Work in close collaboration with Business units (BU) & Business groups (BG) to drive continuous improvement.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED 3 or more years' experience in Pack artwork management, Graphic design, Print production, Pre-press, Design or Pack engineering, R&D;, Digital marketing, Brand management, CGI production, agency relations or similar within FMCG environment.Fluent English both written and verbal is key!Proficient in Microsoft tools, Adobe Acrobat Pro,
Illustrator and Photoshop.Strong communication (written & verbal) and intercultural people skills.IT Automation, Digital Awareness & understanding of AI.Able to build collaborative partnerships and hold people accountable.Multi-tasking & Attention to detail.Strong at influencing & negotiating.Ability to embrace and manage change.ARE YOU INTERESTED?
