As we continue our impressive expansion, we are looking for a strategic leader to join our team and drive excellence in our internal audit function.Job Title: Regional Supplier Quality ManagerJob Purpose: Oversees and enhances the quality performance of suppliers, ensuring they meet or exceed automotive industry standards and company requirements.
This role involves auditing, qualifying, and developing suppliers while managing supplier-related quality issues throughout the product lifecycle.
The Supplier Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations,
driving continuous improvement, and fostering strong supplier relationshipsKey Responsibilities:Supplier Quality ManagementDevelop and implement supplier quality management strategies aligned with organizational goals.Establish and maintain quality standards for suppliers in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant industry standards.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and audit scores.Supplier Audits and AssessmentsPlan and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical requirements.Assess and qualify new suppliers, ensuring capability to meet quality and production requirements.Drive corrective action plans for underperforming suppliers and monitor progress.Issue Resolution and Continuous ImprovementLead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for supplier-related quality issues.Facilitate supplier workshops and training to improve quality performance and adherence to standards.Collaborate with suppliers to implement Lean,
Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and supplier expectations.Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding quality concerns and technical queries.Documentation and ComplianceMaintain documentation related to supplier audits, corrective actions, and quality certifications.Ensure suppliers adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations and ethical sourcing policies.Support internal and external audits by providing supplier-related quality data and records.Reporting and MetricsProvide regular updates to leadership on supplier quality performance and improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain reports on supplier quality metrics and trends for continuous monitoring.Qualifications and Requirements:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
