**Introduction**
As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it’s investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.
**Your Role and Responsibilities**
We are seeking for a passionate Data Scientist to join our team in Guadalajara. As a Data Scientist in IBM your duties will consist on:
- Design and build supervised and unsupervised machine learning models (using pandas,
scikit-learn, numpy, scipy, xgboost, catboost etc.) in Python.
- Deploy machine learning models on Cirrus, maintain code changes in Git. Separate the environments using virtual env, Docker.
- Assess the performance and efficiency of new and existing models, investigate potential issues and data leaks.
- Write train and score Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, perform data analysis and feature engineering.
- Collaborate with database and Cognos teams to represent input and output model data in needed form.
- Tune SQL queries and data scoring approach to achieve acceptable runtime.
- Document the model and the maintenance process.
