**Purpose of the Position**:
Lead the development activity of Networks GBU Americas, working with the local teams to identify opportunities and develop for business growth in gas and power transmission infrastructure, defining and implementing the Group and GBU Networks strategy for growth in Americas.
**Responsibilities and Job Functions**:
Lead the definition / confirmation of the strategy in each country of the region (Brazil, Chile, Perú, Mexico & US), working with the local teams in coordination with the N-GBU strategy functions, as well as the prospection and the development and internal approval of a portfolio of projects in line with the N-GBU strategy until their respective closing and handover to the implementation teams.
Oversees and provide support to local teams during the development stage, to review contracting strategies, risk matrices, construction and H&S; plan, schedules, interfaces and contractual technical specifications, etc., coordinating the Networks GBU Americas reviews by the corporate areas in order to ensure that the project has an acceptable development maturity to be submitted for approval.
Together with equity and other partners,
co-develop large scale industrial projects focused on gas infrastructure, new gases, power transmission, often in a competitive environment and with short deadlines. This includes leading and/or supporting the local teams in the negotiation and the finalization of documents such as offtake agreements, supply agreements, consortium and shareholders agreements, EPC and O&M; arrangements, financing and security documents, organization and management of due diligence missions if any, etc.
Lead the process for approval of the projects that are presented by the entities of the region, providing support, comments and recommendations to the local teams in the different instances and review and approval committees. Once the projects would have reached closing,
ensure with the local teams the smooth transition from the development to the implementation (Build and Operate) phase to the project manager.
Work in close cooperation with the management and teams of the different countries and Network GBU. Interface with other ENGIE functions such as Business Development Oversight, Group Strategy, etc. and also with key customers, partners and other relevant stakeholders´ organizations. In addition, maintain if needed, regular contacts with different authorities at a local and regional level and closely monitor the relevant legislation (grid connection, authorization process, etc) as well as any relevant subsidies.
Promote the interaction of the BD teams of the different entities on topics of common interest, best practices, lessons learned, generating a network of contacts and experts that allow levelling and improving BD in the region.
**Occupational Profile**:
- Engineering, finance or economics, with proven technical/financial/commercial expertise in large industrial infrastructure projects, including preferably in the area of gas and/or power transmission.
MBA or equivalent (desirable but not necessary)
- Natural gas transportation & distribution, LNG and gas storage, Biomethane and other green gases: technical, operational, and business knowledge.
- Power transmission and substations: technical, operational, and business knowledge.
- Project management knowledge.
- Leadership, interpersonal & communication skills.
