**Digital Marketing and Media Manager**

**Role purpose**:
This role is part of the Digital Marketing team, which develops and executes customer-focused Digital and Social Media strategies and activities to deliver the objectives and ambitions of the Global Marketing strategy and plan, in turn driving revenue targets.
The team sets the guidance for Digital and Social Media teams around the world to ensure that the Digital experience offered to customers and prospects is consistent and aligned to HSBC brand and (Global Business Line) objectives.
It has a crucial role in ensuring that Marketing responds proactively and appropriately to the challenges set by the (Global Business Line),



within the context of existing and prospective customer needs.
The role holder must be fully aware of the opportunities and constraints presented by the economic environment and regulation, the market, technology and our competitors

The role holder is responsible for executing customer-focused marketing campaigns to support the objectives and ambitions of the Global Marketing strategy and plan, in turn driving revenue targets.
**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the execution of market leading initiatives aligned to the Global Digital Marketing strategy
- In-flight tracking of performance and measurement of key metrics, summarizing learnings for feeding into future initiatives
- Supporting the optimization of the online customer journey to enhance the Digital customer experience and ensure a consistent creative approach across all digital assets
- Driving innovation in the Digital space, building on existing services and developing new Digital assets which align with the business and Marketing strategy




- The primary accountability of this role is to develop marketing strategy plan and programmes that deliver customer and business outcomes.
This includes any, proposition development and go-to-market approach in support of driving customer acquisition, increase wallet share of existing customers and sales enablement through marketing tools.
- The role holder will deliver this through unlocking market opportunities through insights, marketing science, data and analytics, creativity and innovation.
- Support AOP Plan development in line with stated business strategy.
- Develop and deliver marketing strategies and plans that create stand-out in the marketplace, support brand objectives and deliver return on investment
- Develop and articulate a deep understanding of customer needs through external research and internal data




- Use data and insights to support the development of customer led propositions, products and journeys.
- Work closely with business and Marketing partners to develop integrated Marketing strategies
- Ownership of clearly developed Business Briefs and Marketing Briefs
- Able to collaborate with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure that strategies and solutions will be effectively delivered and measured by all areas of the business.
**Requirements**:
**Functional Knowledge**
- Holders of this role are expected to demonstrate a good understanding of key trends and areas of innovation which influence the way we interact and engage with our external customers, internal stakeholders and audiences.
These should include digital marketing, new technology, Marketing Automation, Customer Relationship Management, Agile working practices, and data and analytical tools,

- Modern Marketing professional with understanding of latest developments in the marketing and media world.
- Have depth of both classical and contemporary channels
- Have a penchant for learning
- Understand the use of data and analytics in deriving customer value
- Be passionate about the customer and be obsessed with customer outcomes
- Degree level qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred.
- 5-7 year's broad based business experience within a Financial Service based institution, or an innovative customer/service based institution.
- Strong understanding of communication developments and emerging consumer, business decision maker and industry trends.
- Experience and evidence of working within teams over multiple sites in a highly matrixed organization.




- Proven understanding of customer insights and their role in marketing strategy development and delivery as well as marketing communications development.
- Proven ability to work on multi-function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
- Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
- Ability to bring key stakeholders and Functional colleagues with them as marketing strategies and plans are developed.
- Ability to distil complex business and customer environment into simple, strategically sound and insight led stories.
