Caterpillar
Santa Catarina
**Career Area:**:Engineering
**Job Description:**:**At Caterpillar, the right materials matter.
**
It takes hundreds of thousands of different types of goods to build the products that build a better world: the raw materials that go into our equipment, the software we use to design it, the tooling we use to build it, even the office supplies we use to run our business.
Acquiring those products—in the right place, at the right time, for the right cost and using the latest e-sourcing techniques—is the responsibility of our procurement team.
This role could be a fit for you, if you're:
- Motivated to achieve challenging goals
- Accountable for delivering results
- Skilled at negotiating with suppliers
Opportunities as numerous as our products.
In a company with hundreds of products and facilities—all needing materials—there's plenty of variety and opportunity.
You might work with a manufacturing engineering team to source items that go into a finished product, manage a category of materials used across products or acquire the indirect goods required for day-to-day operations.
Or you might join our transportation team, managing the shipment of Cat® equipment all over the world.
Because you'll work closely with our logistics and supply chain management teams, you may have opportunities to take on assignments in those areas, too.
We encourage you to explore different roles and pursue external certifications to advance your career.
Recent graduates may be selected to take part in our leadership and technical development program, a three-year rotational experience that offers in-depth, on-the-job learning and growth.
