BEA-TT designs, develops, and supports a state-of-the-art Automated Fare Collection solutions for transit agencies in North America which currently serve over 15,000,000 passengers per day.
At BEA-TT we are looking for new engineering team members that will focus on the creation of a new, unique platform that will serve the North American market as a first of its kind, offering scalability, flexibility, and affordability.
**Senior Software Engineer Job Responsibilities**:- Crafting code that is well-structured, documented, reliable, scalable,
and maintainable.- Debugging and troubleshooting code to ensure timely resolution of issues.- Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other team members.- Conducting research and staying up-to-date with technologies, programming languages, and best practices relevant to software development.- Presenting code and systems to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences, in order to communicate functionality and requirements.
**Senior Software Engineer Qualifications/Skills**:- Strong technical skills in software engineering, including software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies- Deep knowledge of databases, data structures, algorithms, and system design- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively to overcome complex technical challenges.- Team oriented - Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high quality work on time- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git is a plus Education,**Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
or related field.- 3 or more years of experience in software quality assurance- Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.- Experience with front-end web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.- Experience working with various software development frameworks and tools, including Agile, SCRUM, Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.- Strong understanding of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL.- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus**Salary**: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
