**Job Description Summary**:If you love technology and want a career in Engineering, the Gas Power Engineering Development Program is for you!
This is an entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training.
GE is committed to the development of tomorrow's technologists, who have a real passion for technology/software and a drive for technical excellence.As an Edison Engineer you will be in a high-profiled 2-year program of class, training and job assignments that offers exceptional experiences to lay the foundation to excel your Engineer career at GE.You will be on 3 to 4 job rotations on Application, Requisition,
Rotors Center of Excellence or Product services teams to consolidate your skills and knowledge on Gas Turbine Rotor to transform real problems and requests into concrete engineering products, defining the scope and resources required to provide a safe and quality customer experience for units at the field.During the first year your will participate and successfully complete the Advanced Course of Engineering (ACE) involving multidisciplinary Engineering analysis, preparation of formal reports and presentations to senior leadership (A Course).In your second year, your will partner with other Edison's to resolve a real problem with high complexity and technical challenge.
You will need to define the problem, risks, analyze, and prove the solution.
Presenting your progress and conclusions to leadership.Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical leaders to strength your rotor knowledge and being able to participate on customer proposals and project program management.Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other business and locations.
**Qualifications / Requirements**- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, similar Engineering fields) from an accredited University or College.- Demonstrated knowledge in Fluid Mechanics (Theory and Application), CFD software tools, Thermodynamics, Physics, etc.- Task Management Oriented- Passion for learning technology & innovation: motivated, curious, self-learner.- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.- Team player: ability of build trust & commitment with colleagues in a high-performance team.- Resilience: capacity to adapt to fast-paced changes, switch between technical disciplines and shorten learning curves.- Demonstrated unyielding integrity in all business and academic dealings.
**Desired Characteristics**- Previous experience - CFD,
Turbomachinery, Electrical Grid, Thermal Efficiency project development- GPA 3.0 or equivalent 85/100 average or better.- Knowledge on Heavy Duty Gas Turbine.- Time management: capacity to configure a balanced routine to enclose project assignments, academic activities and personal time
