**Advisor RBWM Risk**
**Role purpose **_(overall high level summary of the role)_
**Role holders will carry out activities that will include most of the following**:

- Co-ordinate and manage projects; typically working on smaller projects/assignments
- Assist in delivery of larger projects
- Implement company policy and contribute to the attainment of functional results
- Ensure the quality of tasks/services provided by colleagues, involving regular process checks or review of output by a co-worker and/or supervisor
- Identify and escalate issues
- Communicate technical/sensitive information




- Co-ordinate and oversee work for a small team to meet agreed deadlines
- Management responsibility for a team; including people, objective setting and performance
- Provide general guidance/direction to mentor members of the team or develop their skills
- Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures in own team
- Support change initiatives and escalate any concerns

**Requirements**:
**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities** (_e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)_
- Development of IRB Models for RBWM portfolios (starting with Mortgage) complying with Group governance, monitoring standards and satisfying local regulatory requirements.
Attend all activities related to Model governance and model performance tracking.




- Monitoring and inform senior management about any deviation of the models and proposed actions or remediation plans in coordination with RBWM Risk team.
- Support business areas assisting and directing the actions of portfolio regarding the management and use of statistical models.
- Maintain good relations with internal customers through an effective service and communication, build connections, be externally focused and collaborate across boundaries.
- Control of models risk, ensuring that they are in compliance with all regulations and their residual risk are in line with our Risk Appetite.
- Development of innovative analytical solutions to improve model governance, reporting and customer risk management.
**Functional Knowledge**
- Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Management, or equivalent academic background.




- Previous experience in Risk and/or Governance related matters.
- Basic
- Intermediate English
- Experience in audit review projects.
- Analytical skills and decision-making abilities.
- Planning, organisation skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people and effective communication.
- Accountability and compromise with target dates.
**Leadership & Teamwork**
- Work effectively with the HBMX, Group, Region and Local teams.
- Build and maintain a strong network of credit risk specialists in Mexico and other markets.
- Resilience and teamwork.
**Experience**:
