What is KLAR doing?
Klar is working hard to bring digital banking to everyone in Mexico.
- What is so special about digital banking?_
Traditional banks have overhead costs per customer that make it unprofitable for them to serve people with smaller deposits or who live in remote areas. By bringing down the cost of banking, Klar is working towards making it possible for the people who need it most to get access to a line of credit to carry them through a rough week or help them grow their own small business.
We are a co-located company with Offices in Ciudad de México, México and Berlin, Germany.
This position is based in Ciudad de México, México.
While we support flexible working arrangements (home office, periodic remote work) we focus our time zones on Berlin and Mexico City and value a strong team culture with the possibility to meet up for in-person meetings and informal social gatherings.
**Your daily adventures will be**:
The **Senior Data Analyst** will be accomplishing scrutinises information using data analysis tools. The meaningful results pull from the raw data will help us make important decisions by identifying various facts and trends. A significant portion of your efforts will be focused on using advanced computerised models to extract the data needed, performing initial analysis to assess the quality of the data, performing further analysis to determine the meaning of the data and preparing reports based on analysis and presenting to management. Moreover, this person will not only need to understand the data, but be able to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.
- Owner of the credit analytics. Leverages data to monitor existing credit strategy,
identify areas of opportunities to improve user experience and optimize strategies.
- Automate analysis through dashboards and reports.
- Find relevant patterns that transform into actionable business insights.
- Build bridges between data science and credit operations team, by understanding analytics requirements and data relations.
- According to profile, possibility to take the leadership of a team of analysts.
- Report credit performance to management.
- Build analytics & data catalog for credit area.
- Run ad hoc analysis to improve daily operation.
- Automate tasks for operations team.
**What you bring to the table**:
- Bachelor’s degree and Fluent in English.
- Master's degree abroad or any relevant foreign academic experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a high-growth tech environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a nice-to-have.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
- SQL is a must (3-5 years).
- Python is a plus.
- Familiarized with data visualization tools (Metabase).
- Capacity to take ownership and lead a project from A to Z.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Capacity to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a proactive nature for keeping stakeholders up to date, a strong desire to learn, and an ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced company that is going through substantial growth.
- Eye for detail, process oriented mindset and structured approach.
- Capacity to work to tight timeframes, with a natural ability to manage competing priorities and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
