**Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist****Location**: Remote**Department**: Finance / Accounting**Reports to**: VP, Finance**Job Summary**:**Key Responsibilities**:- **Invoice Management**: Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements.- **Collections**: Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports, follow up with customers on overdue payments, and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.- **Customer Communication**: Maintain positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or issues regarding invoices, payments, and account status.- **Reporting**:
Generate and maintain accurate accounts receivable reports, including aging analysis and cash flow projections, for management review.- **Reconciliation**: Reconcile accounts receivable balances to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.- **Compliance and Documentation**: Ensure that all receivable transactions are properly documented and in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments (Sales, Customer Service, and Finance) to resolve customer issues and improve billing processes.
**Qualifications**:- **Experience**: At least 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related finance role.- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems), Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.- **Attention to Detail**: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.- **Problem Solving**: Ability to identify issues, resolve disputes, and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.- **Time Management**: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**:- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.- Experience in a similar industry or company size.- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable.
