**Position overview**
- The MSCI Global Index Product Management and Distribution team is composed of experienced financial professionals who are responsible for not only launching new MSCI index products but also providing support to existing product offering.
- More specifically, this internship position will focus on supporting Custom Indexes which is one among several index products offered by MSCI. Beyond gaining real project-based work experience, interns will gain a solid understanding of MSCI’s business, the industry that we operate in and our culture.
**Your key responsibilities**
- The Index Products intern will be an important contributor to our strategy management by directly supporting our Custom Index strategy through timely and high-quality support. The individual will work closely with a diverse team across the organization. Additionally, the intern will be paired with a local Index Product employee who will also act as buddy and provide day-to-day guidance and support. With regards to the specific activities and responsibilities, these will vary depending on business needs but may involve one or more of the below:
- Support and assist project initiatives to improve product offering
- Analyzing quantitative data to then extract insights and present results in a digestible way
- Working closely with colleagues in Index Product, Project Management, Research, Coverage, and the Client Service Organization
**Specific knowledge and skills**
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerBi, and PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and good team player
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening,
and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.
- Strong analytical, data-driven, and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence
**Desired experience**
- Currently studying for a bachelor’s degree
**Desired qualifications**
- We require availability of at least 20 hours a week.
