**Description**:
The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance department in all activities related to product quality and compliance.
This includes maintaining production documentation, monitoring supplier and co-manufacturer compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to address quality concerns.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and maintain documentation from suppliers and co-manufacturers, including licenses, certifications, and process flow charts.
Conduct risk assessments for vendor/supplier approval.
- Collaborate with product development and co-manufacturers to ensure product specifications and testing procedures meet quality and safety requirements.
- Monitor customer complaints, identify trends, and communicate non-conformances.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Continuously monitor and improve processes related to GMPs, third-party certifications, and product quality.
Draft SOPs for process enhancements.
- Coordinate certification agreements with certifying agencies for various categories (e.g., Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Kosher, etc.).
- Manage Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and product specification reviews.
Track raw material and finished product CoAs.
Create specification CoAs and SDS for customers as needed.
- Stay updated with changes in regulations in the food, dietary supplements, and cosmetics industries.
- Work closely with third-party labs for ingredient and product testing.
Maintain shelf life study reports and other related quality assurance reporting.
**Requirements**:
- Post-Secondary Education required; College Diploma, Bachelor of Science, chemistry or related field preferred.
- 2+ years in a quality assurance or similar role.
- Experience in quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory affairs, preferably in the food and/or supplement industry.
- Knowledge of FDA, Health Canada regulations, and GMP guidelines.
- Solid problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
**Compensation & Benefits**:

**Salary**: From $350,000.00 per year
