Dow has a great Opportunity as Senior Logistics Analyst based in Mexico(MEX).This is a key position of the Logistics Strategy consolidation in the Mexico and also in LAA, considering the 2 main attributions the role will have.
The first, as a Truck Operations Team Coach, will require from the applicant, a broad base of logistics knowledge,
technical expertise and operations experience to support the Truck/Outplant operations team based in Mexico on daily issues, process definition, maintenance and improvement and also on key logistics metrics.
The second, as a LAA Indent Process Coordinator, will require a strong alignment with the shipping points located in the US that prepare the orders to be exported to LAA, directly to our customers.
Pushing the warehouses and our freight forwarder to maintain the proper dates of the orders in SAP and our stakeholders across the region informed about the changes in the orders will be a key responsibility of this role.
Tracking metrics, other tactical assistance, and project/work process support within their area of expertise will be always something required as well as the usage of prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze situations.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Utilizes logistics knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues which improve process performance and reliability.
- Coaches the Operations Team (Truck and Outplant operations).
- First level escalation in case operational issues for the region/operation under his/her responsibility.
- Supports Road/MPC indent in-land logistics in NAA, providing updates and follow-up on shipping dates and shipment status until the cargo is dispatched in the port
- Work with NAA team to improve STO and indent orders service level across LAA.
- Works with technical advising and logistics operations personnel to create methods to optimize operations.
- Participates in advanced troubleshooting and coaches others to learn these skills.
Implements best practices.
- Interacts with other Dow (global) regions to resolve order issues for inter-area shipments.
- Ensures Most Effective Technology and specific operating discipline requirements are in place.
- Interfaces with third party logistics providers and ensures contractual obligations are met with no penalties or fines incurred.
- Initiates changes to operating procedures to ensure that they are valid and up-to-date.
- Communicates technical information and issues to operations and/or technology.
- Supports and assists with QN investigations and identification of corrective and preventative measures.
- Administers trade lane contracts where needed to maximize benefits to Dow.
(Mitigate dead freight, mitigate demurrage, approve invoices, manage carriers and logistics LSP)
- Responds to and resolves customer or internal product quality or service incidents.
- Supports procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise.
- Manages Cost to Serve and Logistics KPI´s
- Supports the qualification and implementation of new Dow tools
**Experience**:
- At least 5 years of experience in ISC or Logistics
- Advanced level in English
- Bachelor´s Degree in Logistics, Business Administrations or Engineering
