About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 12
The Associate Director of Strategy and Benchmark Advocacy will focus on advancing benchmark advocacy within the metals and agriculture sectors across strategic markets.
In this collaborative role, the Associate Director will lead discussions with customers of S&P; Global Commodity Insights to promote the adoption and widespread use of Platts benchmarks within their operations.
This position will involve close collaboration with pricing teams, broader Commodity Insights content teams, and commercial teams to effectively position and integrate Platts benchmarks into customer workflows.

Responsibilities and Impact: Collaborate with regional commercial leadership to develop strategies that drive growth and achieve successful commercial outcomes for Commodity Insights' portfolio.Strengthen the standing of established benchmarks and promote the adoption of emerging benchmarks, along with the extensive Market Insights offering.Partner with Commodity Insights' customers to understand relevant workflows and use cases for appropriate Platts benchmarks, while supporting existing and evolving customer needs.Develop strong relationships within the market, engage with strategic entities, and support partnerships, tenders, RFPs, and other activities that integrate Commodity Insights offerings into customer workflows and enhance institutional usage.Ensure that market opportunities are adequately addressed by utilizing Commodity Insights' combined expertise and extensive capabilities.Support relevant cross-functional initiatives and take a lead role in executing strategic projects.Shape the development of the commercial strategy that underpins the core businesses of Commodity Insights.
Through thoughtful engagement with key external stakeholders, the candidate will enhance our benchmark standing.
Internally, the candidate will serve as a valuable resource for different Commercial teams, sharing customer insights to improve our operations.Ability to travel up to 50%Basic Required Qualifications: Expert knowledge of commodity sectors, market segments, and the use of price benchmarks.A strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accompanied by a willingness to learn and collaborate.Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of engaging with various parties, including senior internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication, diplomacy, and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams and functions.Additional Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter with a capacity for quick learning.A mindset focused on reflecting and improving the quality and efficiency of work.Proficiency in one or more Asian languages.Ability to work with diverse datasets and models, along with strong data visualization and presentation skills.About S&P; Global Commodity Insights: At S&P; Global Commodity Insights, our complete view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make decisions with conviction and create long-term,
