Job Description

Position Purpose

- The Country General Manager, CHEP Mexico will have overall P&L; responsibility for the CHEP Mexico business in Latin America.
- Accountable for all aspects of the business in collaboration with the functional leaders in Supply Chain, Finance, Asset Control, Asset Protection, and HR.
- Responsible for meeting the transformation targets as well as budgetary volume, profit, margin, ROCI, cash flow and asset efficiency commitments. Also responsible for delivering continuous improvement in all the processes, in Employee Engagement and Customer Satisfaction.
- The CGM, CHEP Mexico will be responsible to improve the asset efficiency and decrease the leakage rate leading the Retail Solutions team and working in collaboration with the Asset Protection Director and Asset Management Director for the region.
- He/She will have direct leadership for all Commercial activities within CHEP Mexico for both manufacturers and retailers.



He/She will have direct leadership for all Commercial negotiations with Latin America Key Accounts. He/she will have overall responsibility for managing capital investment related to growth and platform purchases. He/she will be accountable for the strategic direction of the business, including the introduction of new platforms and services, the digital plan as well as ensuring a continuous strong growth, dramatically improving asset control and developing and delivering market and cost strategies that support achievement of CHEP Mexico 4 Year Plan.
- The CGM, CHEP Mexico will be a key member of the CHEP Latin America Leadership Team to help drive the overall CHEP Latin America strategic plan and business results.

Major/Key Accountabilities

- Asset efficiency focus with reduction of leakage rate and uncompensated losses




- Achieve financials and operational indicators (main KPI’s).
- Support negotiation strategies (Commercial & Retail.)
- P & L Responsibility, budget creation and control setting for Mexico
- Developing business strategy and action plans, identifying new revenue streams
- Leadership to the entire Country business and the Senior Management Team providing strategic direction and tactical support
- Developing talent for succession planning through all levels of the organisation
- Building major client relationships to sustain organic growth and lane expansion
- Building a continuous improvement culture, introducing best practice, new ideas and opportunities
- Ensuring adequate resources are in place to deliver to target and continue to grow
- Ensuring employee engagement and to work on BPS follow up




- Ensuring a safe & secure work environment ‘Zero Harm Culture’
- Ensuring the compliance with Brambles code of conduct
- Contributing to the direction and success of the LATAM’s Region
- Promoting synergies and co-operation across the region.
- Communicating and sharing CHEP’s mission, vision and values
- Cash Generation by reducing capex needs, ULP increase, healthy working capital, etc.
- Talent upskill throughout the organization, as part of HR talent development program.

Qualifications

Essentials:

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Industrial Engineering

Desirable:

- MBA
- Digital executive training

Experience

- Commercial experience.




- 5 years of experience on full P&L; responsibility.
- Good experience in different market practices
- Proven track record in all aspects of financial, people, commercial and operations management
- Experience operating in a matrix environment
- Hands-on experience creating new business processes and strategies to drive results
- Demonstrated experience in building strong teams
