**We are searching for the best talent for Staff EH&S; Engineer (Weekends) to be in Ciudad Juarez, Mx.
**

**Purpose**:The EHS Staff Engineer, Responsible for the environmental health and safety infrastructure.
Manages a team to ensure the attainment of the company's aims relative to environmental, health and safety outcomes.
At this level the role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products, diverse teams, etc..... Determines risks linked to usage and handling of chemical products and authorizes their usage.




Supports committee and project team activities dealing with working condition improvement and environmental impact reduction in relation to chemicals and waste.
Ensures internal communication to maintain and improve environmental health and safety competencies and awareness.
Reports environmental health and safety results.
Maintains regular contact with internal partners and authorities.
Provides awareness training to new hire employees.
Provides training for all employees to develop their competencies and awareness.
Trains operation management staff on chemical and waste management procedures.
Collaborates with other departments to manage external manufacturers, high risk suppliers, and contractor programs.
Audits suppliers according to requirements.
**You will be responsible for**:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal,



state and local laws/regulations
and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

- Manages the environmental health and safety team and insures their personal development.
- Sets and monitors objectives and assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Ensures the compliance of the environmental health and safety system to applicable regulations and standards
- Leads continuous improvement of the environmental health and safety system to make it leaner and more efficient.
- Evaluates environmental health and safety risks during change.
- Implement the contractor safety program and permit to work program to evaluate risk and establish high value controls.
- Develop and deliver technical training and safety awareness programs in support of company's hazard/risk profile.
- Conduct annual program reviews,



identify deficiencies, develop and lead implementation of management action plans, and monitor progress.
- Perform internal audits of safety compliance

**Qualifications** Qualifications and requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or other equivalent science field.
- 8 years of experience
- Environment, Safety or Industrial Hygiene experience, including identifying, evaluating, and controlling risks in the workplace
- Technical/working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Demonstrated project leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects and produce and maintain project schedules
- Excellent planning, influencing, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills,



as well as effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including demonstrated ability to generate presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, andreports.
- Experience working with EHS data reporting and tracking systems
- Technical experience in diverse Safety and Industrial Hygiene areas including but not limited to contractor safety, ergonomics, electrical safety, machine safety, or biosafety
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
