Lead, supervise, design, improve, implement and optimize manufacturing systems, through information flows and products; Through the integration of people, materials, equipment,
technology and energy, to obtain maximum productivity. Achieving that manufactured products meet or exceed the expectations of customers through the design of processes that allow a level of performance and competitive costs, participate directly and supervise the development of new projects in the corresponding procedures, from the quotation until Production is carried out. assuring the Toluca manufacturing processes will have a continuous improvement results in terms of Safety, Quality, Throughput and cost, by driving improvement on manufacturing processes, establishing process controls, procedures and documentation, using lean and six sigma tools and principles as well as support product development.
Lead and execute process improvement programs/Kaizens consistent with sound engineering practices, using lean and six sigma tools and principles and support the manufacturing team to meet its safety, quality, production and cost objectives.
To provide support on problem solving to the manufacturing team and assure a world class manufacturing operation.
Improve, process documentation (standardized Work implementation), establishing and help sustain manufacturing process control in the plant.
Lead and meet the responsibility to prevent, control and eradicate non-conformities that are presented in quality products, processes and systems, with an orientation to continuous improvement and actively participate in the increase in profits and return on investment through of the process of continuous improvement and quality systems; To promote teamwork.
Responsible for coordinate and document all activities oriented to the implementation of existing and new manufacturing processes and equipment lay out assuring that high quality, process flexibility, process control, minimum material waste,
and overall productivity will be attained with the final processes and lay out designs.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible of the Plant lay out.
- New products (Design the Process flow, standardized work, process parameters, Control Plan, Standard Operation procedures, capacity manufacture, cycle time by product, resources needed).
- Calculate and determine cycle times by product equipment and operation, determine and identify the bottlenecks of manufacturing cells.
- Justification and determination of MO for cyclic and non-cyclic operations
- Establishment and maintenance of standard time per product.
- Justification of Investment Projects due to increased capacity, productivity, reduced cost of MO, waste, defective, materials, etc.
- Development of tools,
devices, racks and production accessories for compliance with safety standards, quality, ergonomics, ecology, material handling "FIFO" and customer requirements
- Lean manufacturing tools implementation (VSM, 5'S, STW, SMED, EP, Kanban).
- Cost Control Operation with;6 Major losses and Down time analysis, Direct and indirect labor budgeting, develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas based in standard times, labor variation reduction and labor absorption. (BOR)
- Process Control (Error proofing process and implementation devices)
- Responsible to define the std. costs of Labor, Standard times, Balance operations, Process controls, Standard operations procedures, Standard work sheets, Productivity and Capacity analysis
- Responsible of the Supplier Capacity Study to all customer (Covisint Portal ; FORD, FCA, Chrysler, etc. & VW)
- Risk Level Reduction in Operational Risk Analysis, through improvement safety conditions of process, equipment (design of safety devices and equipment and Ergonomics projects.)
- Researches new equipment, and technologies, in order to improve manufacturing processes
