.Early Professional**A Snapshot of Your Day**You will be responsible for performing high-quality structural dynamic simulations with special attention to seismic analyses for energy transmission infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members in Germany.You will need to understand and effectively communicate the structural dynamic behavior of high-voltage equipment, this include analyzing designs and provide change proposals to meet performance goals.You will plan and build simulation models using specialized software packages and create comprehensive documentation of load cases and results, including analytical structural member checks like welded joints, bolted joints, three-dimensional complex stress states, etc.
Intensive pre-and post-processing of model data will be performed.Load checks will include pressurized enclosures, permanent loads, wind loads and dynamic operational loads besides seismic loads.You may be involved in the development of simulations with novelty focus areas.You will be responsible of the reviewing processes with senior national reviewers throughout the American continent (especially South America) regarding the normative conformance of the designs.
**How You'll Make an Impact**- Performing seismic studies- Reporting to senior team members within the company- Develop high quality mathematical models, e.G., using ANSYS software.- Make sure of the robustness and plausibility of the models.- Normative checks of many different structural details and elements.- Create comprehensive and high-quality documentation.
**What You Bring**- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus 5 years of experience or master's degree with mínimal experience.- Proficient in structural mechanics and dynamics disciplines.- Capable of handling specialized software- Knowledge and comfortable with structural methods ASD and LRFD- Strong knowledge of seismic load methods.
(Optional: Knowledge of overall seismic hazards).
Expert knowledge in dynamic / seismic analysis.- Familiarized with relevant construction standards: International Building Code, ASCE 7, etc.- Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a must.
