Description
The role is a key IT role that is responsible for formulating information security policies/procedures/guidelines, design, and implementing security systems that will ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data based on role, access, permissions, and authentication.
**Responsibilities**:
- Implement a centralized identity management system to organize users, groups, roles, access control, and permissions.
- Design and implement systems to protect against virus, worms, ransomware, hacking, and other threats.
- Develop best practices to help manage and respond to security incidents
- Ensure compliance with all required security standards and statutory regulations
- Standardize firewalls,



routers, VPNs, proxy servers to be consistent across all sites
- Help with establishing a L1 support that is equipped to handle Security Ops.
- Perform internal audits and support external audits.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with at least 7+ years of experience as an Information Security Analyst
- Experience in information security working closely in a LAMP environment or Linux.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Experience formulating and implementing security policies.
- Solid understanding of security standards like 270001, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA
