Description
An important aviation company is looking for its next IT Manager, the company has a presence in more than 60 countries.
The IT Manager (Business Engagement), reporting to the Global Director, IT Business Engagement, will be responsible to support the oversight of the LATAM region with a specific focus on supervising the Mexico IT Hub. This role is pivotal in executing and supporting the regions IT business strategy, ensuring alignment with global IT standards and practices.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Act as an IT business contact for the LATAM region, promoting IT services and capabilities to meet regional business needs.
Collaborate with the Business Engagement Senior Manager LATAM in developing and executing regional IT strategies.
Facilitate the integration of regional business requirements into global IT roadmaps.
Support the assessment and implementation of IT solutions within the LATAM region, ensuring successful deployment and user adoption.
Manage regional business engagement initiatives, including the consolidation, prioritization, and execution of IT projects as shared by the Business Engagement Senior Manager LATAM or the Global Director, IT Business Engagement.
Support on the development and control of the annual IT budgets for the LATAM region in collaboration with regional management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, and operations, to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
Balance service costs against business demands, negotiating and agreeing on service levels with regional stakeholders.
Advanced - English (it is a bilingual job)
**Requirements**:
Proven experience in managing IT operations, particularly in a supervisory role.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
Familiarity with the business environment and challenges specific to the LATAM region.
Commercial awareness and ability to represent business issues effectively within the IT community.
Strong personality to manage and supervise the Mexico IT Hub.
**Work Experience**:
At least 3 years of experience in IT and business/industry, with a focus on business engagement or IT management.
Experience in leading teams and managing IT projects in a multicultural and diverse environment.
**Technical skills**:
Understanding of ITIL processes and general IT service delivery standards.
**Language / Communication Skills**:
Excellent command of English and Spanish.
Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams across the region.
