****Job Summary**:The EHS Resource Manager II assigns employees to jobs based upon their skills, abilities, and availability.
Serves as the employees' primary point of contact regarding training and development, compensation and benefits, mobilization and assignments, and ensures that all employees are current on training, performance reviews, and any other business requirements.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:- Assigns Site Safety Professionals (SSPs) to jobs based upon their skills, abilities, and availability to support the implementation of the EHS Management System on the jobsite.
This includes making SSP assignments primarily on the basis of the proven competency / skill-level of the SSP and the EHS risk determination of the job (e.G., Site Risk Profile and Site Characteristic Rating Tool).
Higher risk jobs require higher competency SSP staffing- For each SSP direct report, works very closely with the assigned functional _EHS Manager_ (i.E., Regional EHS Manager) to assure: (1) strong EHS technical and professional coaching; (2) accurate job performance evaluations [both mid-year and year-end reviews]; (3) appropriate SSP job-leveling; and (4) career-enhancing special assignments and FieldCore career development- Receives feedback from the functional EHS Manager and/or Regional EHS Manager to monitor and provide coaching on SSP jobsite adherence to SSP Standard Work expectations, including required reporting on the EHS Daily Outage Report (DOR)- Possesses a deep understanding of FieldCore Global and LATAM EHS continuous improvement initiatives and provides ongoing coaching and training to assigned SSPs - so that they may act as "Champions" of these initiatives on every FieldCore jobsite- Assures SSP performance evaluations and career-leveling consider "in-the-field" EHS leadership behaviors and decision-making; independence from FC / GE operational pressures and Customer pressures (i.E., that may be contrary to Safety); adherence to effective control of conditional and behavioral (work practice) risks; hierarchy of risk control decision-making and coaching; when needed: exercises "Stop Work Authority" and coaches others to do the same as per Field Performance Surveys- Coaches and prepares SSPs to perform work within their technical duties while on a jobsite and holds them accountable if not followed.
Works with the Functional EHS Manager / REHSM to provide quick coaching to FEs / TFAs and others who direct SSPs to perform otherwise- Utilizes the feedback data provided through Field Performance Surveys to assure SSP safety risk control recommendations are followed on the jobsite (and not undermined by either FC operations leadership or Customers).
If such situations occur, quickly brings in the Regional EHS Manager to support resolution- Recruits, hires, and manages SSPs as per established requirements in terms of experience, competency, capabilities, and education level in EHS
