Completed university bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field in the last 24 months (OR) currently enrolled in last semester of Bachelor's degree (OR) current Master's/Doctorate's student in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language(s): Java, HTML/CSS, Python, SQL, C, C++, etc.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, arrays, hash tables and graphs and problem solving.
- Intermediate/advanced English proficiency B2+ or higher.
This is a full-time, permanent, non-virtual position based in Mexico City or Guadalajara (domestic relocation support will be provided).
This role is designed exclusively for university bachelor's degree recent graduates in the last 24 months in Computer Science or related field.
- Work with the team to help drive business decisions.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimizations, cost, and security.
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.

The base pay for this full-time, permanent position ranges from MXN $62,000 to MXN $64,000 per month (in addition to Amazon Restricted Stock Units and Sign-on Payments in Year 1 and Year 2).
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
- Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
A day in the life
Selected full-time permanent Software Development Engineers are required to work at least 3 days from office and 2 days from home.
If selected,
you will be asked the city of your preference between GDL or CDMX; and receive financial relocation support, if currently living 80 kilometers (kms) or more from our following locations.
