Embedded Software Engineer Sr.
Aptiv focuses on addressing the future needs of the auto industry through improved safety, electrification, and new mobility solutions. We are excited to announce that Aptiv is expanding its footprint in Monterrey within Advanced Safety and User Experience Engineering.
Your Role
At Aptiv, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that make transportation safer, greener, and more connected. Our embedded engineers design, develop, and validate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and Compute and Security and User Experience products. In this role, you will design, develop, and validate base software modules for automotive applications.
Your day to day will consist of the following:
- Develop software for active safety (ADAS) or body control production projects
- Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems with first time quality
- Perform Software Requirement Analysis and design implementation adhering to Automotive SPICE.
- Work closely with component teams on interfaces and dependencies
- Triaging of issues reported from stakeholders
- Internal and customer diagnostics SW design, power moding, HWIO, Autosar stack configuration using tools like Vector DaVinci
- Responsible for static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing of the software on a hardware platform or test bench
- Use of Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety process compliance.
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
- 5+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive Industry
- Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
- Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities,
and a positive approach to challenge
- Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
- Strong understanding of Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
- Experience in realizing ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts
- Experience in Low power mode implementation, factory-test software
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and Automotive SPICE
