**About the role**
We are looking for a Sales Support Assistant who can help our Higher Education sales team continue to grow.
We sell upper level and graduate textbooks and courseware in a wide range of disciplines such as Classics, biomedical engineering, physics, political science, and linguistics.
In this position you have the opportunity play a vital role helping our experienced sales team reach their customers and meet customer needs.
The Sales Support assistant provides valuable research and administrative support to the Higher Education Americas sales team for print and digital books.
As well as providing a support for the existing sales team the job holder will be required work on projects at the direction of the HE Sales Support Supervisor.
- Will maintain and update information in our customer relationship management system and other sales systems
- Support the reps in the field
- Work with other departments to obtain information
- Attend in-house meetings and other duties as required.
Tasks include:
- Working with authors regarding leads that they supply and other requests.
- Collaborate with colleagues from around the globe.
**About you**
We seek a highly motivated **Sales Support Assistant** to join our Higher Education Sales team that has the following qualifications:
**Essential**:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English and Spanish - written and oral.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Detailed oriented and comfort working databases and researching.
- Flexible approach to work
- An understanding of the customer
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Be open to continuous learning and problem solving.
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
**Desirable**:
- Educated to degree level or above
- Prior knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and database programs.
- Analytic and creative skills
- Commercial awareness
- Direct experience of, or qualification in publishing
- Knowledge of textbook publishing
- Experience working in retail
