**Summary**:**Job Functions**:Supports efforts to achieve architecture compliance with Nissan standards and government regulations.Standardizes processes and technology related to area of expertise.Documents all data architecture design and analysis work in accordance with corporate standards.Researches, discovers, proposes and plans implementation efforts to improve business processes.Assists with the development of implementation plans for key aspects of architecture within the sphere of influence (domain, infrastructure or enterprise)
based on business requirements and IT strategies focused specifically on the architectural area of expertise.Participates in R&D; activities related to technologies in the specified area of expertise.Suggests the selection of preferred technologies within specified area of expertise.Conducts analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the existing architecture at Nissan.Develops, improves, validates and uses tools to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of architectural efforts, within both the area of expertise and scope of influence.Conducts the development of logical and physical data models and compliance to all data architecture standards, naming conventions, and EA governance.Ensures overall solution-level integrity of data within the context of existing architecture and standards.Acts in an advisory role on complex projects, and ensures projects maintain an enterprise-wide view of data and context.
**Skills and Abilities**:Ability to recommend data architecture accomplishing long-range objectives within area of expertise and sphere of influence while simultaneously balancing functional requirements, business demand and budget constraints.Ability to perform requirements analysis for IT systems,
provide input to business case development and validate data requirements for IT systems.
**Technologies**:Database experience in Oracle, SQL Server, UDB and/or Mainframe Databases (ADABAS, IMS, DB2).Emergent/contemporary data technologies including cloud/hybrid/big data/unstructured/open source data tools.Logical and physical data modeling with a data modeling tool (ex.
Erwin).Database sizing for Databases more than 1TBDirect hands-on experience with at least two tools for data profiling and data quality.Data integration, ETL Database administration, Data Federation, Master Data Management, Data Modeling, Metadata management**Requirements**:**10 Years overall IS/IT experience with at least**:7 years architecture design and implementation experience in primary area of expertise and/or developing architecture methodology,
major technology development.5 years of direct development experience in the design, build and test phases of a systems development life cycle methodology and emphasis on data architecture or database administration.Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics is required
