Job Summary: This position is a champion of Byrne’s culture, demonstrating the organization’s mindset and setting the example for the desired leadership behaviors. The Director of Sales and Customer Service is responsible for the direct management of the Byrne Mexico Sales and Customer Service Teams, shaping the company’s overall sales strategy, and serving as an ambassador for the company’s culture both internally and externally. This role works closely with internal departments such as Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, Quality, and Product Development, as well as their counterparts in Rockford.
The Director develops the sales strategy for the Mexican and LATAM markets,
defines annual sales objectives by segment, and oversees the sales units to ensure alignment between the sales strategy and marketing initiatives. This position plays a crucial role in preserving the organization’s ethics and protecting the Byrne brand, embodying the desired behaviors and leadership competencies.
An industry expert, this role requires a deep understanding of the market and trends.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Job Requirements:
- Develop Annual Sales Strategy for Mexico and LATAM: Analyze the previous year's sales results, identify sales objectives for the current year, and present the strategy to the leadership team with a monthly sales breakdown by segment. This includes creating a sales table for each market segmentation by client. Regular monthly analysis and adjustments to the sales strategy will be required.
- Build and Develop the Sales and Customer Relations Team: Select team members, create forums for sharing best practices, and provide continuous feedback to support their development within the company, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Develop Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the Finance team to design a final pricing strategy for each customer segment.
- Market Segmentation: Develop and implement annual strategies for different sales channels (Altus 1, Altus 2, Hospitality, Hardware, Customer Relations).
- Product Segmentation: Prioritize and select the product portfolio.
- Develop New Business: Identify new players in the industry, promote the brand, and close opportunities.
- Focus on Profitability: Define and execute specific sales strategies for products made in Mexico.
- Preserve and Promote Byrne Culture: Use Common Sales Selling methodology in the sales process. Motivate the team to maintain a resilient mindset, customer focus, and quick execution.
- Develop Strong Customer Relationships: Identify each decision-maker within the key industry players.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Sales and Customer Service.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the corporate furniture industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completed Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level).
