The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Operational Risk Management (ORM) team is responsible for independently assessing, reviewing and overseeing the management of Operational Risk by the first line of defense
**About Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk**
Operational Risk Management is part of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR), within the Risk Management and Compliance organization.
CCOR is responsible for the design and execution of the CCOR program, which consists of the second line of defense's responsibilities in the oversight of management of the firm's Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Leveraging the CCOR Framework across all voice and electronically traded channels covering Commodities and Currencies & Emerging Markets (CCEM), Equities and additional Markets businesses (ex.
Markets Sales, Operations).
- Legal Entity coverage, representing Operational Risk Management as the main point of contact for local teams and externally to the regulator.
- 2nd Line Review and Challenge of 1st Line Assessments.
- Identify: Reviewing the risks identified by the first line of defense and escalating any new or emerging risks or issues.
- Measure: Independently assesses operational risks and control environments through quantitative and qualitative means.
- Monitor and Test: Independently monitor the risks and test the effectiveness of controls
- Manage: Identifying issues for the first line of defense to remediate through action plans and reviewing KRI and KPI thresholds, as required.
- Report:
Reporting on results including changes in risk assessments and results of monitoring and testing.
- Liaising with key stakeholders including first, second and third line of defense.
- Driving the broader Operational Risk agenda through research, presentations, assessments and reviews.
- Stay abreast of industry news and regulatory developments to facilitate proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Additional opportunity to focus on Credit and/or Market Risk ORM oversight in addition to Markets line of business coverage.
- End to end coverage, including Horizontal activities (Resiliency, TPO/Outsourcing, Data Management)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industry experience, financial services expertise required.
- Experience with Risk Management, Operations,
Production Management or Front Office related Markets Businesses activities required, with a focus on the CCEM business and/or Equities.
- Understanding of the products and services offered by the Equities and CCEM Markets businesses across Latin America.
- Market Risk and/or Credit Risk knowledge a plus
- Experience interacting with local regulators and audit firms.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills with successful track record of completion.
- Strong influencing skills and ability to drive change and deliver results
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present concise findings in a persuasive manner.
