**NIDEC AUTOMOTIVE MOTOR MEXICANA****Solicita**:**New Project Buyer****Descripción y Requisitos****New Project Buyer****Job Summary**- A member of a project team, he/she is in charge of integrating the best suppliers into our developments so that, through better design, QCD objectives can be met, in line with the project schedule.- Represent the Purchasing Department in the project teams, make decisions and coordinate all departmental activities related to the project teams from program initiation through completion of Phase 4B.**Responsibilities**:1.
Helps the project team define the Nidec requirement: QCD objectives, expression in functional specifications, schedules.
Based on his/her knowledge of family purchasing strategies,
he/she challenges make or buy choices, ensures that technological choices will not "lock in" the choice of suppliers, challenges the breakdown of the final product into different components/functions, and ensures that component standards are complied with.- 2.
Ensures that the right conditions exist so that the best suppliers are able to propose the best QCD solutions.- 2.1 Conducts consultations with the supplier base and any other potential suppliers.- 2.2 Participates in the selection of suppliers, in close collaboration with the family buyers (note: the latter have the right to veto choices).- 2.3 Uses functional specifications as a basis of consultation and makes sure that suppliers' ideas are taken into account.- 2.4 Integrates suppliers early (phase 0 or 1) and gives them access to the project platform.- 2.5 Initiates, when necessary, value analyses to meet target costs.- 2.6 Facilitates communication between suppliers and the various project team members.- 3.
Manages the state of progress of suppliers' projects and validates the key stages.- 3.1 Formalizes the Nidec requirement files (NRF) with the supplier.- 3.2 Checks that suppliers' schedules are consistent with the project schedule and make sure they are complied with.- 3.3 Formalizes, with the PQA specialists and suppliers, the scheduling of PQA stages and checks that they are performed correctly.- 3.4 Organizes end of phase reviews at the supplier and participates in them with the PQA specialists.- 3.5 Draws up the QCD indicators and monitors their evolution.- 3.6 Ensures that supplier projects comply with Nidec's procedures.- 4.
Provides feedback from the purchasing department and remains in coordination with the relevant family buyers and PQA specialists.- **Education**Bachelor's degree with major in Purchasing or Engineering with purchasing experience.- **Work Experience**- Knowledge of purchasing department operations,
preferably in the automotive sector.- Project team and project organization (preferably in the automotive sector).- 5 years minimum of experience in a Purchasing, R&D;, Industrialization, Quality, Sales or Project function.
**Certifications / Training**:- APQP- Automotive New Project phases
