Develop, validate & release design solutions and engineering specifications for plastic and metallic wiring troughs.
Follow and meet all applicable design practices.
Execute component & system level testing.- Conduct benchmarking studies, review past programs lessons learned to develop design strategies.- Lead the technical issue resolution processes (GIMS, portal package, log book, quality, etc.
).- Execute & coordinate the product change management process within the different regions: create and maintain documents for the CN, eBOM, OdM, CoDEP systems.
Balancing quality, cost & timing requirements.- Lead the integration process during the design phases for the wiring troughs (maintain ICDs, IADs).
Get agreements with AME,
service, industrial engineering, HMI, PDO, unit groups (BICEEs) & suppliers.- Responsible for the CAD geometries management (2D & 3D): releasing into the TC trees, ensuring CAD data visualization and integrity.
Per each program timing milestones.- Collaborate with the PC & PRs for the cost / optimization loops and responses to bulletins: components communization (read across); cost targets, timing, complexity/ diversity of components (quantity and variants).
Implement VO and cost avoidance initiatives.- Execute program specific DFMEA, DVP&R;, functional objectives to meet the part and program performance requirements.- Define, validate and release the fasteners and their torque specifications.- Responsible for the compliance procedures and reports lifecycle, to demonstrate regulatory compliance.- Manage supplier component issues resolution and maintain the open issues list- Lead component and subsystem virtual assessment (CAE, mold flow, formability, etc.
)- Execute the sourcing process:
Adequate SP creation to ensure a timely source award and parts delivery.- In working with the dimensional teams, develop dimensional strategies for the design solutions released(DG&T;, Stack up analysis)- Support the build activities at the proto plant, QAF, assembly plants, supplier facility.
