We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.In this role, a typical day will include:- Preparing and analyzing financial reports,
including Balance Sheet and Income Statement.- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools to support key stakeholders, such as Finance, BPAs, and Heads of Finance (HoF)- Reconciling financial reporting systems (e.G., SAP) to ensure data accuracy across systems.- Preparing and validating Data Analytics files for accurate financial tracking and projections.- Driving process improvements through the development of automation initiatives in data collection, reporting, and analysis.- Proposing areas for process standardization and improvement, reducing reporting errors and increasing operational efficiency.- Participating in or leading Green Belt projects to streamline financial operations and implement sustainable solutions.- Serving as a strategic partner to business units, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver relevant insights.- Performing internal controls and ensuring compliance with IFRS financial standards.- Ensuring timely completion of all monthly and quarterly closing tasks, ensuring no reopens or deviations.- Reviewing the accuracy and completion of reconciliations in Blackline, SmartClose,
and other relevant platforms.- Monitoring performance of financial systems and team deliverables, ensuring achievement of defined goals (e.G., FCRS/APMR reporting).- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial reporting risks on a monthly basis, collaborating with senior management and Centers of Excellence (CoE) to resolve potential issues.- Ensuring revenue recognition practices are aligned with both local, GAAP and IFRS standards.- Regularly reviewing balance sheet accounts for potential risks, particularly in areas such as inventory, revenue, and cost allocation.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent applicable experience.- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or data analytics, with a strong preference for experience in shared services environments.-- Demonstrated experience in working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
and financial reporting tools.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience in data visualization tools (e.G., PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.- Strong written and spoken English proficiency
