**Duties**:




Serves as an Investigator/ Research Intelligence specialist at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Mexico in the Consulate Field Office located at the U.S. Consulate.
Provides vital intelligence, investigative and operational assistance as well as intelligence analysis in support of DEA's drug and precursor chemical trafficking Mission and border initiatives in the Field Office.
Conducts, research, raw analysis, and creates and maintains precursor chemical, drug seizure, money laundering cases and crime databases (such as price, seizure, homicides, and significant events).
Performs suspect name checks in DEA and other databases.
Provides administrative support by organizing and maintaining case files regarding drug investigations and establishing priorities and other functions in support of routine office activities as necessary by the Resident Agent in Charge.
**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Seven years of law enforcement relating to investigations or in intelligence gathering, including but not limited to administration,



or accounting dealing with government and public entities is required.
- Education Requirements:
At least two years of college or university studies.
- Evaluations:
**LANGUAGE**:

- English: Good working knowledge written and spoken (this may be tested).
- Spanish: Fluent, written/spoken,, including ability to translate (this may be tested).
**To meet the English and Spanish language requirement for this position**:

Alternatively, if you already happen to have them**, you may submit English and Spanish test results that are less than 5 years old.
- For English you may submit test results from TOEIC Listening & Reading (Min.
score is 780), TOEFL ITP (Min.
score is 540), TOEFL IBT (Min.
score is 72), IELTS (Min.
score is 6.5), Cambridge (Min.
score is B2), Duolingo (Min.
score is 90), or FSI/ILR (Min.
score is 2).




- For Spanish you may submit test results from FSI/ILR (Min score is 3+).
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**: Must possess a valid Mexican driver´s license.
