SCOPE
As a Wine Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding wine experience for our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent variety of wines, establishing and nurturing strong relationships with suppliers, and providing top-notch training to our staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administration
2. Maintain the menu of the cava updated with prices.
3. Meeting and controlling suppliers alongside the purchasing team.
4. Manage wine cellar and ensure it’s fully stocked.
5. Guest Satisfaction
6. Ensures the delivery of brand promises and provides exceptional guest service.
7. Provides excellent service to all guests.

Handles guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
9. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
10. Greets visitors, ascertains the nature of business, and directs visitors to the appropriate associate.
11. Finance
12. Wine cost control.
13. Ensure proper wine inventories.
14. Wine purchasing monthly.
15. Setting prices alongside the cost controller.
16. Operations
17. Controlling stock of the main cava as the cava for the venues.
18. Analysis of the new wine offerings.
19. Meet the wine reps and propose new wines according to our target market trends.
20. Recommend food and wine pairings.
21. Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices.
22. Training and education of wine to Restaurants, bars, and butler associates.
23. Ensure to spot and train potential interested associates to be virtual Sommeliers in each restaurant.
24. Ensure to spot and train front waiters and order takers to become junior sommeliers and help push the wine sales.
25. Oversees the Junior Sommeliers.
